1. What does pure mean?

2. Which kind of love shows we follow Jesus: pure love or selfish love

3. What do you think is the difference between pure love and selfish love?

4. If you only love people who make you happy, what kind of love are you showing?

5. Think about the people you love and talk about why you love them?

6. How do you think you can tell when you’re loving those people with pure love or selfish love?
   

NEXT STEPS:

1. Think of a person who needs God’s pure love. Tell your group who it is.

2. What can you do this week to show God’s pure love to that person? Answers will vary.

3. Say a prayer quietly for that person.

1. Ask kids to share things they’d like to pray about.
2. Write down their prayer requests.
3. Pray together over the prayer requests.
