Purpose:

The purpose of the Leadership Huddle is to challenge and equip men to become the kind of leaders that God calls them to be in their sphere of influence (home, workplace, community and church).

Our Goals:

1. To give men a passion for God’s Word by leading them through an in- depth study of Marks’s gospel (year 1) and 1 & 2 Timothy (year 2) within its proper context. Along the way the men will learn the skills of observation, interpretation and application of Scripture.

2. To train men with leadership skills that they can take and apply in their spheres of influence and that will equip them for potential leadership functions in the church.

3. To provide a forum for men to connect deeply with one another, spurring each other on, challenging one another and holding one another accountable. This will be done through prayer partnerships, team assignments and social interaction.

4. To identify, train and test future elders and leaders.

The Premise:

Leaders LEAD- They are Learners, they are Encouragers, they are Accountable, and they have Direction.

The Schedule:

We will meet on Tuesday Nights from 7:00-9:00PM. We will meet twice a month. We will not meet in June or July. We will meet once in September. We will take a one night retreat together in the evening on Friday October 4th and all day Saturday October 5th.

Resources:

We will provide you with a printed book from the class. This workbook has been generously provided to us by Dr. Tim Beavis who is a former elder and a friend of Redemption Church.

You will need to buy a copy of Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswald Sanders. You can get it on Amazon for $12. It would be best to have a hard copy to bring with you to the small group.
