An Update From Pastor Adam

Hello Everyone!

As you know the whole world is talking about the Coronavirus! We have been watching the news, and talking with local government officials, our heart is to not walk by fear and to be wise (you can read more about that here).

After a lot of prayer and conversation, we have decided to still meet for worship tomorrow at 11:30AM. We will also be live-streaming or entire worship gathering tomorrow morning on Facebook, so those who stay home can still participate and stay engaged in the life of the church.

A couple thoughts I shared today on Facebook Live:

  • Please Be Wise. If you are at risk for the Coronavirus (age 60 or above), if you or anyone in your family is or has recently been sick or has a compromised immune system, please stay home.

  • If you are scheduled to serve at Redemption Church tomorrow morning, but are not planning to come, please let us know. We want to accommodate you, there is NO PRESSURE to come.

  • WASH and Sanitize your hands. The best thing you can do is wash your hands. We will have hand sanitizer on Sunday, and ask that you USE IT.

  • We will NOT serve any food or snacks on Sunday. This is for your health and protection.

  • 1st Presbyterian has put together a Coronavirus protocol for their building which we are in full support of. We will take extra measures to wipe down and sanitize surfaces on Sunday morning.

  • While we exists as family, we are asking you NOT to hug and shake hands tomorrow.

Moving Forward:

We are staying up to date with information as it comes out and are taking a week by week decision making approach. We will keep our church family up to date on any changes or decisions.

We believe the church gathers for worship, but over the next few weeks may need to rely more on Technology and Online Gatherings, especially for those who are at risk. If you decide to stay home, stay connected with the church by participating in the online gatherings.

Our heart is to be the hands and feet of Jesus during a time of uncertainty and crisis. Don’t forget to look in on your neighbors. Do not just consider your needs, but look out for others as well.

If you are unsure of how you will feed your family, or if you need help getting supplies or medicine from the store, please let us know!

As Christ-followers let’s be BOLD & WISE! Jesus still has the whole world in His hands.
